Lago Roca at P N Tierra del Fuego
by swesn

The park of mountains, lakes, rivers and valleys stretches west to the Chilean border and north to Lake Fagnano. There are several beautiful trails.

One is the Coastal Path and another is along Lago Roca all the way to the Chilean border.

Both are easily managed, if you do not lose the trail-posts. However, the weather here, being at the ?end of the world?, is very cold and unpredictable.

It is possible to find archaeological evidences along Lapataia Bay, like remains of mussel shells. Tierra del Fuego was previously populated by a few Indian races, all of which are extinct now. Here, at the National Park, the area was inhabited by the canoeing group called ?Yamanas?.
