Protests in front of Palacio de Congreso
by swesn

Yet another of Buenos Aire's architectural gem. The Palacio de Congreso (Congress Hall) is a magnificent Greco-Roman building housing the legislature.

Naturally, with the Argentinian economic down-fall, the Plaza Congreso opposite the Palacio de Congreso, is a favourite place to pee on, spray graffiti and messages to lambast the government, the police, the president, everybody.

Protests and street demonstrations frequently start from here. Road-barriers are left by the side roads around the Palacio for they seemed to be needed all the time to block up the roads to let the demonstrations through.

Address: At west end of Av de Mayo where Av Callao meet
