South African Banded Mongoose (Mungos mungo taenianotus) is a native of South Africa (and San Diego ZOO :-). Have you ever seen it in SA?

I saw them over-active in San Diego ZOO hehe. They were running very fast so it was not so easy to take them a picture. They must be active during the day, I am sure. Funny and very lively animals. Hmm... maybe dangerous as well (biting?) - look at iron bar seperated them from Zoo visitors.
