Tourist Traps To See, Las Vegas: 17 reviews and 15 photos
OK, some would argue that all of Vegas is a tourist trap. And it is. But in its glorious homage to excess, it's a place where anyone can escape everyday reality and just have fun.
Fremont Street has some things worth visiting (see my "Must See" tip), but be warned that it is full of some of the largest tacky souvenir shops you'll ever see. We also found this to be the most unpleasantly crowded part of Vegas (which may change at other times of the year -- we were there in early May).
Unique Suggestions: Take in the light and sound show that blasts its way across the "roof" every hour or so. Also, there is a tasty, and tasteful, restaurant inside the Golden Nugget. It's called Zax and you can find more info in my restaurant tips.
