  Beluga Whale, Vancouver Aquarium

The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre was my favourite site that I visited while in Vancouver. This is in fact one of the best aquariums that I ever visited. Like other such aquariums this one attempts to educated its visitors on marine life around the globe. What impressed me was how well each exhibit was displayed. This was especially the case with the Artic Canada exhibit with its beluga whales. The amazon exhibit is also exceptional with hourly rainfalls in the recreated rain forest. There is also a coral reef exhibit with blacktip reef sharks that are feed publicly. Also quite interesting is the exhibit featuring local marine life in the Pacific Northwest.
Besides the beluga whales there is 60,000 forms of marine life here that are display. They include the always lively sea otters, dolphins and sea lions. Finally this is a great place to bring the children and for me should be on the top of your list if you are traveling with them.

Directions: The aquarium is located on the Southeast edge in Stanley Park, overlooking the city of Vancouver.
