War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh City: 106 reviews and 220 photos

The War Remnants Museum was established in September 1975, it was previously known as the American War crimes museum but the name was changed to be more ?politically correct?. Some of the displays, especially the pictures are very graphic which I am actually pleased about because there should be no window dressing for war. It was good to see the Vietnamese side to the war. Hollywood bombards us with its version of the war. I agree that the war was terrible for the American soldiers but it was even worse for the Vietnamese. Displays illustrate the killing of civilians, the spreading of agent orange, the torturing of prisoners and the effects of the war in the north. Planes, tanks, bombs and helicopters are also on display.
