"Central Park" Central Park Tip by sarahandgareth

Central Park, New York City: 406 reviews and 745 photos

I give Central Park credit for helping me maintain my sanity in this otherwise concrete and glass city. It's an oasis right in the middle of Manhattan. You can rent a bike or rollerblades, walk or run around the park's six mile loop road. You can wander through the center of the park admiring the scenery. You can rent a row boat and paddle around the lake soaking up the sun. You can attend free concerts, plays, and even operas during the summer. You can go to the zoo. You can be amused for hours by the antics of rollerbladers strutting their stuff. There is an endless list of things to do while enjoying relative calm and quiet smack dab in the center of Manhattan.
