Looking at these two almost identical skyscrapers in a downtown (the Marriot Hotel and Marina) I was thinking about Twin Towers in NYC and WTC tragedy - so, I called them "Twin Towers of San Diego". Especially that I looked at them from Coronado Island where the biggest American Pacific Naval Base was located and most troops were sent to Iraq that time.
Don't they remind you these tragic days?
And looking at San Diego's skyscrapers I always asked myself: could I get to the top of some of them to admire fantastic views? As I knew for the security reasons the viewing areas were not open to the public.
