When you've realized you've crammed too much into your itinerary in Vancouver then I'd suggest you take a trip to Van Dusen Gardens (at 37th & Oak). It includes an expansive array of different scenery with plants from all over the world. Bring a picnic lunch and/or a book and just relax. The cost is minimal.

On your way back walk east on 33rd Avenue past my old high school, Eric Hamber, and up the hill to Queen Elizabeth Park, also known as "Little Mountain". This venue also features a wonderful garden, albeit on a much smaller scale. The main gardens here are free but the enclosed conservatory does have a fee.
