"Staying on the River Kwai" Thailand Hotel Tip by shazzbazz

A great place to feel part of the landscape and it's people. It's basic and simple, with no electricity, so charge up your batteries before you leave!
Sorry, I can't remember the name but basically if you walk into any travel agent in Bangkok and ask for a tour on the River Kwai that is either a night or more stay I'm sure you will get this accomodation or one of the others, which there are few of.
The price included, the transportation, food, and a train ride. If you stay for night like myself then you get one activity included, we chose to raft down the river, then to swim in their sister resort's swimming pool.

Unique Qualities: The hotel is basically on a rafts which are hooked up to the land. There is a village that is close by and they're bascially the hotel staff.
Meal time is a treat everyone eats the same food which makes it feel like a family dinner, a great time to chit chat to your fellow guests.
Try swimming in the river or should I say let the currents take you for a ride.
Night time, there is entertainment that is put on by the village children.

Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Price: US$40-80
Theme: Other
