chicken rice balls, assam fish & chicken insides..
by eelaine

amongst malaysians, malacaa is well known for the interesting balls of rice served with chicken.. and hoe kee is rumoured to be the pioneer in this quaint eat.. the shop is basically the typical local type of eating place.. tables and stools.. not air-conditioned.. but it's still pretty nice and cool, even on a hot day..

Favorite Dish: of course, chicken rice balls.. actually, it's very similar to the ordinary chicken rice that you get all over the country other than the fact that the rice is squeezed into this little balls the size of a golf ball.. also to try is the delicious spicy sour assam fish.. if you're adventurous, you can throw in some chicken insides as well.. i love them! :)

Price Comparison: about average
Directions: this is located at the beginning (the end closest to christ church) of jalan hang jebat (jonker street).. if you're coming from christ church, it's on your right..
Price: less than US$10
