This is the oldest Museum of the Netherlands !

It is named after the 18th Century Manufacturer of fabric Pieter Teyler van der Hulst.

He stated that after his death all he had would be used for Art and Science and the result was that in 1784 the first Museum, open to the public, was founded in The Netherlands.

A visit to this special Museum is like travelling through millions of years coming to en end in the NOW AND HERE.

There are numerous fossiles, minerals, drawings and paintings, coins and scientific machines.....and so much more...

Unique is that not only its collections are world famous, but also the wonderful buildings.

During the VT mdeeting in Haarlem 26th April 2003 we went to this great museum and I enjoyed it for the umpthieth time.....

OPEN: Tuesdays through Saturdays 10AM - 5PM
