This little island, which is actually the smallest inhabited island of the world, also feels like it is a different world. Everything is present, from a church to a bar, restaurants and a gelateria. From Trastevere you can reach the island via the Ponte Cestio and from the other side via the Ponte Fabricio, which is the oldest bridge over the Tiber that still functions.

Directions: Walk to the Tiber from the Forum Boarium. You'll have a nice view over the Isola Tiberina and the Ponte Rotto from the Ponte Palatino bridge.
