Favorite thing: This castle was one of several 13th century Hungarian strongholds between Piestany-Trencin.
In the 17th century, a mad Hungarian countess called Elizabeth Bathory lived here who murdered & tortured over 600 peasant women...
Since a fire in 1708, there's not much left of the castle but it has great views; The surrounding area is a nature reserve !

Still as if not getting enough of the photos around the castle, I took another photo !
It makes me wonder though that although this castle ruins are not kept, but the walls or rather the stones are white !
