The Abisko National Park has an abundance of plant species, a number of them quite rare. Abisko is the national park that receives most visitors in the province of Lapland. Undoubtedly the deep canyon in Abisko is the biggest attraction. And of course the wildlife!
This area is complete for those who love just like to inhale fresh air! That means that everyone is able to get here! With it's many trails, including Kungsleden "The royal trail" the are is perfect for beginners and experience hikers. This is defenetly a must see in Sweden. I like the area so much because the total wilderness. Everyone is here for the same reason. To have fun and hike in the wonderful surroundings!

Abisko Turiststation is right in the middle of the Abisko National Park with a variety of mountain ranges within easy reach. The area is framed by the characteristic U-shaped silhouette of the Lapp Portal, the mountain massif to the south, and the large Torneträsk lake to the north.
I recommend a stay at the Abisko Staion. It cheap and it's very good located for daytrips!

Abisko tourist station is located by the main railway line and E10 road between Kiruna and Narvik, with its own railway station and bus stop. There are daily train services to Kiruna (96 km/60 miles) and Narvik (75 km/45 miles). The journey time by rail from Stockholm is 18 hours, from Gothenburg 25 hours, and from Malmö 27 hours. Flights from Stockholm to Kiruna take 2 hours. Parking space is available.
