Palazzo Ducale - Doge's Palace, Venice: 225 reviews and 482 photos

The Doge's Palace has acted as a palace, a political center, a museum, and a prison since the 12th century. The most impressive highlight is the Sala del Maggiore Consiglio (Great Council Hall), by Tintoretto. It is the largest room in Europe not supported by interior columns and also contains the largest oil painting in the world, Tintoretto's Paradise.
