Karolinum is the rector's seat of Charles University since the 14th century.

It was further renovated in the 1930s and in the 1950s after being badly damaged at the end of World War II.

This Gothic building contains a large hall, the Old Great Hall, used nowdays for special ceremonies.

It is open to the public only on ?open doors? days (details from tourist information offices).
The vaulted labyrinth at street level contains an art gallery whish is open daily.

Open Hours: Tu to Su from 10:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.
