"The Empire State building" Empire State Building Tip by paradisedreamer

Empire State Building, New York City: 374 reviews and 610 photos

The Empire state was the world?s tallest skyscraper in NYC for 40 years until they built the World Trade Centre. It was constructed in only two years - 1930 to 31 and stands 1,453 feet high. You get to the 86th floor in less than a minute & the panoramic views are spectacular (obviously try to go on a clear day). If you want to see the sunset allow plenty of time (an hour to queue for tickets and half an hour to get in a lift) . Every year there is an Empire State run up the stairs to the top if you are so inclined!
