"Statue of Liberty" Statue of Liberty - Ellis Island Tip by paradisedreamer

The Statue of Liberty
Height : 150 : ft
Weighs : 225 tons
Pedestal: 152 ft
Outer Metal of Flame is Gold
Present from France
Made of Copper
Made in 1876

The queues to climb to the top can be very long and it could take a few hours. The view from the crown is not great as the windows are very small and dirty. You can only spend a minute up there as the platform only holds about 10 people, however it is nice to know that you have climbed to the top! It is better to go to the pedestal (there is a lift) and see the views from there.
