"Central Vienna" Ringstrasse Tip by Nexus7

Ringstrasse, Vienna: 42 reviews and 94 photos

The incredible architecture here in Vienna is abundant in the central part of town near the river. The ancient castles and cathedrals hold many old stories. There is in fact a church by the name of St. Stephens which has a catacomb made with bones from the dead of the plague. Absolutely absurd yet remarkably wonderful. Sigmund Freude was from here and he has a center named for himself. Vienna also houses some of the most wonderful museums of various types in the central district. It would take a solid week to see them all. And of course you can see the permanent residence of the Hapsburgs. You can't miss the towering stone walls.
