"the louvre" Musée du Louvre Tip by TheFish

Musée du Louvre, Paris: 796 reviews and 1,585 photos

the louvre, if you don't know, is a small country whose citizens are works of art. at least that's the way it seems. it's the biggest art museum i've ever been to and i think it's bigger than monaco. i think that unless you walk really fast and don't actually stop to look at anything there's no way you could see it all in one day. there's some very famous stuff there. we passed by the mona lisa as there was a huge crowd around it. also, i don't think it's that great of a painting.

there's one day of the week that they let everyone in for free. i think it's wednesday. we went that day and the queue was enormous but it moved really fast. also it wasn't too crowded inside, but then i guess crowding wouldn't be too much of a problem when your building is that large.

again, this isn't my picture. one enters the museum through the glas pyramid thing you can see. then it's downstairs. i don't think i took any pictures. i did get a postcard of this one painting i really like. perhaps when i find it again i'll scan it and put it in here.
