"Highway" Shanghai Transportation Tip by simcard

Shanghai Transportation: 277 reviews and 350 photos

There are a few major highway routes in Shanghai. Such as the South-North Highway (Nan Bei Gao Jia) and Yan'an Highway.. You can take the same route by traveling on the ground level, but these highway routes are above the ground level. Speed limit is higher and also there's no stop lights on the highway. When you take a taxi, the driver will usually give u options if u want to go up to the highway or just stay on the ground level.. sometimes the distance can be much bigger if u take the highway route.. but believe me.. you still rather take that because the traffic, especially during rush hour is just horrible on the ground level. It can end up costing u more time and money, and sitting in annoying traffic noise.
