This has to be THE BEST place to visit in London, so give it your full attention for at least a day. Start early in the morning and take a packed lunch to eat outside by the Thames. A great tour is given by the Yeoman warders, lasting just about an hour. Then it's up to you to wander about the nooks and crannies of the numerous buildings.

Don't try and ask them for a Big Mac however.

The white tower is cool and the armoury is impressive. Better give yourselves around four to five hours to take all that history in! A visit to the Tower of London gives you a chance to discover some of Britain's most extraordinary history. Admire the breathtaking Crown Jewels, stand on the execution site of queens.

The Armoury
Take your time investigating the vast array of treasures and weapons that kept the Empire great.

The Tower of London has been home to the world famous British Crown Jewels since the beginning of the 14th century.

It has more canons and guards than you can shake an American tourist at!

"Founded by William the Conqueror in 1066-7 and enlarged and modified by successive sovereigns, today the Tower of London is one of the world's most famous and spectacular fortresses. Discover its 900-year history as a royal palace and fortress, prison and place of execution, mint, arsenal, menagerie and jewel house.
