  Hveragerdi Greenhouse
by superbad

Hveragerdi is the town that houses most of Iceland's commercial greenhouses. Iceland can't support outdoor fruit and vegetable farming, so they do it in these huge greenhouses, which are heated by geothermal energy. If you happen to be driving by, they are worth a stop.

Lots of of typical tourist stuff for sale.

Hveragerdi is maybe an hour or so drive from Reykjavik, heading counterclockwise on the ring road.
