"Gore, Southland." New Zealand Off The Beaten Path Tip by worldkiwi
New Zealand Off The Beaten Path: 233 reviews and 269 photos
I stopped in Gore briefly on my way from Te Anau to Dunedin. This is Southland's second town and is a hard working rural support centre basically. There's not a lot to stop many tourists, apart from this unusual monument to the brown trout! Apparently this area is great for fly-fishing. Don't expect to catch one of these though!
