"Elks.." Skene Things to Do Tip by dave_21

As I said before, the chance to spot a Elk here is good. One of the largest density is found in the area. There are no guided safaries or things like that. To spot a Elk you have to have some luck, they are very reserved and shy. If you see one, be ready with you camera immediately. They wont stand still for a long time if they've seen you!
If you see a mother with a calf they will probably be afraid but if you suprise them are able to get very close...RUN!
Each year people in Sweden get attacked by a Elk with a calf.
It's not common that people get killed but it happens...
The best chanse to see a Elk is in dawn, at bogs or fields.

And please, don't steal Elk signs. There are traffic deaths caused by Elks each year. It's the most common traffic incident caused by animals in Sweden.
