The Tower of London is an interesting place to visit and is one of the main sites in London that truly gives you a very pure taste of British history and culture. The Beefeaters there, who are essentially the guides throughout the building, are very knowledgable of Britain's history and tell you all the nasty details of who was beheaded in the Tower, how vital battles were fought, when monarchs were crowned, etc. The Royal Crown Jewels are also held here in the tower, and are certainly a great site to behold!

Address: St Katharine's & Wapping, London EC3N 4AB
Directions: You can reach the tower easily by getting an underground train to Tower Hill Station. Alternatively, you can get a boat from Westminster and Charing Cross.
