The flattering stallkeepers will proclaim you their King or Queen while insisting in that they have the very best and freshest products in the market.
As tourism has been increasing in Valencia in the last years, you will see a lot of tourists around taking pictures among the locals doing their errands, but the overall atmosphere is still quite authentic.
And, last but not least important, the building is truly remarkable. It was was designed by architects Alejandro Soler March and Francisco Guardia Vidal in an ecclectic style with an Art nouveau influence. Works finished in 1928. No better framework could have been conceived for the coloufully displayed items on sale.
