Miramare is a beautiful castle on the outskirts of Trieste: it overlooks the sea dramatically, it's surrounded by a really nice park (don't miss the butterfly garden) dotted with statues, and the castle itself is quite interesting
The park is open all year long and it can be reached by public transportation by either train (stop: miramare) or bus 36 from Piazza Oberdan. The bus is the most convenient one as it leaves every 30 minutes
