"Confucius Temple - North Beijing" Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum Tip by mgalitz

Across from the Lama Temple, this complex is less restored than other temples. It has a rare statue of Confucius and very old trees. Good for quiet meditation. It has a forest of stone stele that honor scholars spanning 600 years. It also hosts the Capital Museum which traces the history of Beijing beginning 400,000 years ago and ending with the liberation in 1949. This museum has lovely exhibits in English.
