Finally... a sunny day! I've been waiting for some time now for a good opportunity to go on a 'fall colour tour', and I wasn't disappointed. Wow, what a colours! The trees seemed to be on fire at some times, the colours are so vibrant! It's just beyond belief. I love the colours of the fall, and I heard it must be beautiful in Canada, and they are so right, it's beautiful and spectacular.
The observation tower in Dorset (just south of Algonquin Park) is a fantastic place to see the fall colours. It is very busy though! Quite a lot of people know of this place and know that the best time to visit it is on 'Thanksgiving weekend'
Climbing the tower is for free, but you have to pay $2 to park the car just below the tower. You can also walk to the tower from a parking lot down in the village, but I was too lazy today to do that :-)
You can see lots of fall colour foto's on my Dorset page
