"Louvre" Louvre Tip by ingridf_nl

Louvre, Paris: 796 reviews and 1,585 photos

This was my first visit to the Louvre. Being more of a "modern art" girl, I felt somewhat reticent to go.

However, it was well worth it. If only to see the crowd around the tiny mona lisa, and to see the varying degrees of talent of people painting reproductions. We didn't spend much time (only a couple of hours)... but it is definitely worth going once. My favorite statue was the one of the gentleman staring at his own genitalia. Hmmm. ;) I believe that these huge statues were once supports for the front of buildings.

It is very worthwhile to buy your tickets ahead in order to avoid the line up. You can purchase them at any Virgin megastore in Paris.
