Prison? No! Just the Pension Unitas!

Unique Qualities: Have you ever wanted to stay in a prison? Well, now you can. The Pension Unitas was formerly the Secret Police prison; in fact, Vaclav Havel once spent a little time here (non-voluntarily). The surly staff (probably former guards) will grunt at you and give you a questionable breakfast, but there's something pretty bloody cool about staying in a cell. Plus, the location is tremendous, and the costs are right reasonable.

I don't know why they painted the bars pink. I have no idea whatsoever. I can only assume that they weren't pink back in the prison days...

Comparison: least expensive
Directions: Nove Mesto, just minutes from everywhere in town
Price: less than US$20
Theme: Pension/Guesthouse
