There is a lot to be said about this piece of land. There is lots to explore, few remote beaches, some hiking trails, viewing of the San Andreas Fault and the effect earthquakes has on the land, you name it. The peninsula has 2 hostel I believe, so nice and cheap accomodation.

Fondest memory: There are a lot of historical farmlands, all named by letters like Farm E, farm D.... etc... On my way back from the Lighthouse I could see a cluster of people around one of the farms, they all had binoculars and watching something. Birdwatchers, I thought. So I stopped and asked them what was so interresting. Well it happened that they were watching a cow giving birth!!! There was a small fenced area that I called the maternity center, where a few cows that appeared to be pregnant or newly mamma, and one of them was almost ready to give birth!!!! So much for bird watching uh?
