The Juliusz Slowacki Theatre in Krakow
by coceng

It was built in the years between 1891 & 1893 from the design of the architect Jan Zawiejski.
The edifice of Slowacki's theatre with its wonderful facade is an example of electic architecture modelled upon the Paris Opera House.
Inside the theatre it is worth paying attention to the wonderfully painted curtain which depicts its creator, H. Siemiradzki.
In front of the building, there is a monument with the bust of Aleksander Fredro, who has been called 'The Father of Polish Comedy', made by Cyprian Godebski.
