The "Blaues Wunder" bridge (blue wonder bridge) has connected the two Dresden townships of Blasewitz and Loschwitz since 1893.
The name originates from the blue color and the "wonder"ful construction.
In 1945 the bridge was planned to be blown up, but two men cut the fuse and thus saved this remarkable technical monument.
