The north side of Mt Hood is a wild side. You have to hike here. You won't be enitirely alone. Lots of trails and other areas to spread out on though. My favorite spot is to find a field of wild flowers in bloom or to make it up atop the Barrett Spur. Cliffs, glaciers and the occasional elk. Check out Mt Hood for more.
