The city hall in Old Mtl
by Franberu

The best place to stroll and have a good meal and see small spectacles is Place Jacques-Cartier which face the City Hall. You can spend many hours strolling along and taking part of different activities. A lot of restaurants with teraces for the nice summer nights.
The City Hall building is a treasure for the heritage of montrealers with is Mansarde roof. The balcony in the front is the place where the french general De Gaulle have shake the independant movement when he said: "Vive le Québec libre!" in 1967.

Address: Notre-Dame street close to Saint-Laurent.
