A postcard view of the Dumfries Museum which also contains the Camera Obscura, on the top floor, which gives you a birds eye view over the town.
The town, which is 76 miles south of Glasgow, sits on the River Nith and is known for its abundunce of red sandstone buildings.
As well as being a one-time home of Robert Burns, JM Barrie, the author of Peter Pan also lived here as a child in the 1870s.
