Less romantic than it sounds, "Piazza di Spagna" was named as such simply because the Spanish Consolate occupies one end of the square.

Great (albeit expensive) shops radiate off the piazza on pretty pedestrian-only streets.

Grab a bottle of wine and enjoy an apertivo on the steps while getting serendaded by local guitarists.
