  Downing Street Nr 10

Since 1735, this is the official housing of the British Prime Ministers.

Sir Robert Walpole, the first Prime Minister, got this house of King George II.

The narrow Downing Street goes from White Hall to St James's Park, but is closed on both sides.

It was not possible to go near the famous Nr 10, the people you see on the picture were Peace Officers, and they got a special permission to visit the street.

Another famous house is the Nr 11; it is the housing of the Minister of Finance.

Nr 10 is the first white door on the picture. The red building in the back is the Whip's Office, from where the political campaigns are organised.
