The floating market called Damnoen Saduak in Ratchaburi province is somewhere you really have to go! According to history, Damnoen Saduak was the name of the canal dug by King Rama IV in 1866. In those days rivers and canals were essential for transportation. King Rama IV, with his great concern for the country's future economic growth, had the canal dug to connect the Taachin and Maklong rivers. Ooo...Very industrious!?! I can't recall how much you have to pay to get on the boats but I do remember they were really unstable. There are loads of other boats around and you can imagine how they actually fit so much ***e in and paddle all day long. Each boat sells a main item, if it is bananas, the whole boat will be filled with bananas, if they are hats, you get big and smalls ones, anyones you want. I have to say I really like the colour arrangement.
