Favorite thing: This is the official brief description of the UNESCO committee

"The ksar, a group of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls, is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat. The houses crowd together within the defensive walls, which are reinforced by corner towers. Ait-Ben-Haddou, in Ouarzazate province, is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco."

(quoted from the official UNESCO website)

Personal impression:

This scenery was beautiful - I really felt like in the middle of a movie - could not believe, that something like that could really exist!! And really, the ruins of Ait Ben Haddou have been the setting for more than just one movie!
