Rimini since july to the end of august is really overcrowded, locals full of people, seaside where you must kick someone if you want to lay down, ques for a beer.
Unique Suggestions: If you end up in Rimini in summer, and you want to escape the crowd, just try to go to San Leo or for example, miramare beach, as it is not so central, it is a bit less crowded.
Fun Alternatives: Go since april to june and you'll have the best time.
