Caradoc of Tregardock: "Heaven on a Farm in Cornwall" United Kingdom Hotel Tip by kengelma
United Kingdom Hotels: 337 reviews and 703 photos
This converted barn on a farm within walking distance of a tidal beach is the perfect place to spend a holiday. It is not far from King Arthur's birthplace at Tintagel and close to the quaint Cornish village of Port Isaac. The owner is a fabulous cook, who uses local farm produce, and also a painter, who offers classes in the summer.
Unique Qualities: There is a spacious cottage, available for bed and breakfast or for self-catering stays. The owner built us a fire in the glass-front stove every night before we came home and turned on heating pads in the beds to make sure we stayed toasty. The upstairs lounge has high airy ceilings and beautiful light, with a stairway that leads to the beach path. The area is quiet, no traffic. You'll hear birds (and an occasional rooster) in the morning!
Address: Delabole, North Cornwall
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Not far from Tintagel, Camelford, and Port Isaac
Theme: Bed and Breakfast
