This is a fascinating museum, but then I have always been fascinated by holograms. I am sure you will enjoy this place.

When a beam of laser light is optically separated, one beam is directed toward a piece of holographic film and expanded. The second beam is directed at the subject and also expanded. The beam reflecting off the subject has information about location, size, shape and texture of the subject. This creates an interference pattern when the beams come together. At least this is how it was explained to me.
