anywhere you can...: ""Forbidden" Camping" Capri Hotel Tip by kcochran111

Capri Hotels: 18 reviews and 35 photos

Capri is very un-friendly to backpackers, so if anyone asks where you're staying on the island, lie and name a hotel. If you do want sheltered accomodations, there is a quaint bed-and-breakfast off the road from Anacapri to Marina Piccola (can't remember the name, but you'll see signs).

The further you get from Anacapri (the top of the island) the less expensive and less crowded it will get.

Unique Qualities: There is a "campground" in the woods off the road down to the Blue Grotto. It offers a great view of the Napoli skyline, but don't let the locals know you're there.

Address: Capri
Directions: Take the advice of friendly locals, or just look for B & B signs in your wanderings around the island.
Theme: Campground

“There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse.”
