  Dean's House at Kulturen
by Sjalen

Lund is one of the "Oxbridges" of Sweden so its university ranks as top along with the one in Uppsala. This gives it a great student atmosphere but that's not all. As one of the oldest Swedish cities (although Danish for most of its history as the Scania region was Danish until mid 17th century) it also boasts one of the largest and most loved cathedrals in Scandinavia. There is also an Open Air museum called "Kulturen" with a collection of old Swedish crofts, chapels, farm houses and other buildings, also including a museum with information on art and local history. You will find several of the Scanian viking rune stones here as well as outside the university building. If you want more detailed information, please see my Lund page.

Directions: 15 minutes north of Malmö by local train.
