"Rothwell Town F.C." Rowell Sports & Outdoors Tip by bonio

Rowell Sports & Outdoors: 1 reviews and 1 photos

On Saturday afternoon in the winter you can usually find me at the football match. Rothwell Town play in the Doctor Martens Eastern division. The stadium is on Cecil St just out of the centre, it's not pretty - but it's home! The club are usually around the middle of the league, although they have an outside chance of promotion this year, but we have fun watching. Also a social club at the stadium - time for a beer before kick off. The nickname of the football team is "The Bones" taken from the bone crypt at the church. Also "Bonio" comes from there too, but Bonio is also a type of dog biscuit in the UK!

Directions: Cecil Street. From Bridge St, turn left into Tresham St and continue to the top of the hill. The stadium is on your left.
