An unusual venue is the Ryton Organic Gardens Restaurant.
We went for the eighth Annual Potato Weekend, there were a record 141 varieties on display. We came home with 9 varieties to plant in our garden to grow for ourselves.

Favorite Dish: We have now booked up for the 9th Annual Potato Weekend on Saturday 2nd Feb 2002. When we went to the Potato Day Meal on 3rd Feb 2001, I had Chunky Vegetable & Potato Soup followed by Mediterranean Vegable & Potato Moussaka and Carol had Sweet Potato, Saffron & Goat's Cheese Terrine followed by Mixed Seafood, Potato & Barley Broth. All for £11.95 per head.
